Post 8: English Language Challenges
My experiences with the english course in the university was awful at first, but not because the classes were bad, the reason was some problems on the calendar of classes and curriculum program.
When I started the career in 2017 the English course was voluntary, but in the following year the curriculum and rules have changed and make English a mandatory course. This situation made that some students with retarded english course, had problems to take the course and attend classes was a real challenge.
But now, my experience in classes is good. When we had on-site classes, it was more difficult for me and also so boring and stressful, principally due to the need to participate in classes and speaking in public for classmates.
Now in online classes, I think that English has become easier in a good way, today is less exhausting and allows me to learn in a comfortable place and more quietly, without pressure.
About the activities in class, the blogs for me are a good and comfortable method to practice regularly and to learn new vocabulary too. These activities have allowed me to practice grammaticals rules that actually are a thing that I need and I would like to continue to improve.
English in my career and in my everyday life can become a very important skill. Today I use little English because I hope to use it more and more in the future, first place because so many resources, books and research are published in English and I need to understand and know this information. Another reason is because I would like to study a postitle, I don’t know if I would like to study in an English-speaking country but anyway it is an important skill for study, communication and keeping the knowledge fresh.
David, learning english for a possible post-graduate degree is a very mature thought since you see a lot in the future, I hope you can continue to improve and that you already have a point earned for that transfer, much success!
